They had been identified from surveillance camera footage as the two men who attacked and injured Laichu Han, 18, on the night of July 23. Mr Hai was carrying his wooden security stick when he got down from the pickup and tried to snatch her shoulder bag. When she fought back he struck her with the baton, returned to the truck and they fled with nearly 30,000 baht worth of cash and valuables.
